A board-certified physician practicing integrative medicine — not the other way around.

Women are told their labs are normal while they feel anything but. That gap is where her work begins.

Why the MD matters

A physician first.

Much of functional and hormone medicine is practiced by people who are not physicians. Dr. Andarcia is a medical doctor.

She earned an MD, completed a full residency in internal medicine, and holds board certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine — the same training and the same credential as any hospital internist. The integrative work came afterward: a fellowship at the University of Arizona's Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine, certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine, and a Menopause Society certification specific to midlife hormonal care.

That order is the whole point. Integrative medicine sits on top of a conventional diagnostic foundation rather than in place of one. She can order and interpret the testing, recognize when a symptom is not hormonal at all, refer when something belongs to another specialty, and prescribe when prescribing is the right answer.

About

Western medicine, and the centuries that came before it.

Dr. Victoria Andarcia is a board-certified internal medicine physician with advanced training in integrative and functional medicine. She completed the Andrew Weil Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona and holds additional certifications through the Institute for Functional Medicine.

Her clinical focus is women's hormonal health — perimenopause, menopause, and the hormone imbalances that quietly reshape energy, mood, metabolism, and quality of life. She works with the patients conventional workups tend to lose: the ones whose bloodwork reads clean while their lives get smaller.

Born in Venezuela and now practicing in Sarasota, Florida, she sees patients through Reveal Vitality and hosts a podcast on women's hormonal health, now approaching fifty episodes. Her approach starts from the whole person rather than the isolated result, bringing a holistic lens to longevity and helping patients feel their best at every stage of life.

Integrative health takes the best of traditional, Western-style medicine and combines it with ancient techniques that have been successfully used for centuries. Sarasota Stories, Ep. 004
